The mission of the benefit is to raise funds and awareness and hopefully one day eliminate cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service. It was a spectacular evening overlooking the yachts in the Admiral’s Cove marina.

What a gem of a find with Stephanie A. Smith Photography. Her photographs are stunning with a personality to match.
Admirals Cove is host to many a spectacular event. The marriage ceremony of Lauren and James was no exception. It was Stephanie's first time shooting at Admirals Cove. Not only do her photographs exude the elegance and 'epic-ness' of their wedding, but she captured the essence of Admirals Cove...rain or shine!
Stephanie is available to photograph your Jupiter or Palm Beach wedding. You can reach her via the contact form on Stephanie A. Smith {Photography}, email her, or reach her via telephone at 727.289.3522.

Matt Gineo of Jensen Beach Wins It!
Thursday, July 28th, 2011 at 9:51am. 265 Views, 0 Comments.
As a follow up to my trip to Key West for Hemingway Days 2011, I present to you the winner of this years look-alike contest, Matt Gineo! After 12 times of trying, Gineo of Jensen Beach won with a tie-breaker vote!
Gineo shares some of Ernest Hemingway's affection for writing as well as sport fishing. "This [contest] was something that I had in my heart to do, but didn't know how many years it would take," Gineo said.
The judges of the contest...past winners who had a tough job of judging 121 contestants.
The look-alike contest at Sloppy Joe's Bar was just one of several events and contests that happened on this six day celebration to honor the legacy of Ernest Hemingway. The "running of the bulls" was a site to see as well. Look-alikes dressed in red…

On behalf of the Loggerhead Marine Life Center, Deborah Jaffee attended a tea event hosted by The Admiral's Cove Cares Charitable Foundation (ACCCF) to distribute nearly $400,000 in grants to 32 local charities. Loggerhead Marine Life Center was one of the recipients in May.
Through public education, research and rehabilitation Loggerhead Marine Life Center is dedicated to the conservation of Florida's coastal ecosystems with a focus on endangered and threatened sea turtles. Located on one of the world's most important sea turtle nesting beaches, the center has an on-site hospital, aquariums and learning exhibits. Each year the center hosts over 200,000 visitors and is open daily. Receiving this grant from ACCCF would allow the center to fund an…
"Papa" in Key West | Hemingway Days 2011
Tuesday, July 12th, 2011 at 2:39pm. 299 Views, 1 Comments.
It's hard to believe that this is the 31st year for Hemingway Days! My friends and I usually make a group trip to Key West for the event. Because the Nobel Prize-winning author called Key West home throughout the 1930s, the celebration is island wide.
This year the competition filled event will be held Tuesday through Sunday, July 19-24. There's a variety of activities happening during the 6 day event like a book debut and authors' readings, a look-alike contest, an offbeat "Running of the Bulls," a marlin tournament and a short story contest direct by Hemingway's own granddaughter Lorain Hemingway.
For more information about the short story competition you can visit www.shortstorycompetition.com. The culmination short story event and reception will be…
